A DAY LATE

This morning we pruned some of the roses and trimmed the last of the cone flowers and black eyed susans. So, in memory of the warmth of summer and the buzzing of the bumbles here's this summers' purple coneflowers in their prime. With guest of course.

Don't want to say goodbye to what little summer we had, but the fall weather is so vibrant I feel energized and content at the same time. Lovely cone flowers.

I've always considered myself to be a "fall kind of person", but I'm not feelin' it this year. SIGH

Love the picture. We still have yellow jackets and crickets. Where they went when it was 30 degrees I don't know, but it is warmer again! Dannelle
