Gather Your Thoughts, Ladies...

All of us writing here are "of a certain age…" As such, we have probably always been aware of the Kennedys, their service to our country and their legacy. I would like each of us to post a few words on how we were affected by the news of Senator Ted Kennedy’s grim cancer diagnosis. I will be back this evening with my thoughts…

Interesting topic.  I've been thinking about him, Ted Kennedy, since his seizure and admittance to MGH.  Waiting patiently for your words of wisdom ... you are far more politically inteligent than I.  I will, however, post something later if time allows.

Without going into the political end of the Kennedys, It seems we are coming to the end of an era. They have long been said to be the Royalty of the United States...There is a bit of sadness for me, because they remind me of a kinder, safer time. These days nothing surprises us, nor does it empower us like we were insighted by John F. Kennedy's speech and presidency. As for Ted Kennedy that is a kettle of what ever you wish to fill it with...you can remember him for all the years he has served in office, or you can remember him for the death of an innocent girl when he was younger. People make mistakes in life, has he earned his place and forgiveness among us or wherever the road takes him? We are not judge and jury of anothers life. At the end of the day he is still a human being and an icon for his service to this country. (Hugs) Indigo
